Web Searching Filters

My wife Angie recently sent me a link to a talk given at TED 2011 by Eli Pariser, the Board President of moveon.org.
In his talk, he explains how the algorithms used by Google, Yahoo and so on are artificially narrowing your search results. In Google's example, they use up to 57 different inputs such as your location, your type of browser, your type of computer and more to filter your search results to what Google perceives your needs to be.
Thankfully, Celebrante invests considerable sums on making sure that we appear high enough in the search rankings, both organically and through AdWords, so that someone searching for a celebrant can use their own filters to determine who they talk to once they arrive at www.celebrante.com.au/search.php.
The reason Celebrante was founded was because searching through Google, the Yellow Pages, the Wedding Websites and so on was just too damn hard. With Celebrante, you get to choose from a range of parameters to help narrow your search but the control remains in your hands and not through some faceless algorithm that thinks it knows what you want.
So if you know someone who is looking for a celebrant, whether they need a wedding celebrant, a funeral celebrant, someone for a naming ceremony or a commitment ceremony, or any other kind of ceremony you can imagine, send them along to Celebrante.com.au - the home of Self Filtering Search!
