What does it cost me to list as a Celebrant on Celebrante? Setting up a profile costs nothing. Celebrante offer two options for you. Option 1 is to pay only for the e-mail enquiries you receive via the site (currently $15 per e-mail), Option 2 is to go for our Capped Program which for $450 gets you 50 enquiries for the cost of just 30 and Option 3 is to pay a flat rate of $900 per annum if you believe that you will receive more than 50 enquiries per year.
We thoroughly recommend you start with the Per Enquiry method and then see how you go from there.
Does my choice of Option make any difference to the results I should expect? No. All profiles are treated equally by the database.
How does Celebrante rank the profiles? Originally we just listed people in the order in which they joined us but now, with so many celebrants listed with us, we have had our web developers sort them in two ways. Let's first look at how the system works.
There are two types of search - Quick and Advanced.
In the Quick Search, celebrants are listed in ascending order of total enquiries received. If you've had no enquiries, you're number one. If you've had 250+ enquiries, you're last.
In the Advanced Search, celebrants are listed in ascending order of joining Celebrante. If you joined us first, you're listed first. If you joined us last, you're listed last.
Given the fact that we now have over 400 celebrants, this is the fairest way for us to make it work for three key reasons:
1. As new celebrants come onboard, they need a chance to be seen. 2. As more and more celebrants come onboard, Advanced Search grows in popularity (a 350% increase over the last 6 months). 3. Our most popular celebrant every single month, is listed last on the Quick Search listing for her regions.
Can I remove my profile if I'm too busy or want a break? Yes. You can "hide" your profile for as short or as long a time as you choose. However, if you have selected the Per Annum Option, please note that your paid period does NOT extend.
What if I want to change from one Option to another? You can certainly do that. If you change from Option 1 to Option 2, all you need do is pay the current Option 2 rate to transfer. Any Option 1 e-mails you had receive up until that point will be billed back to you at the current per e-mail rate. If you want to change from Option 2 to Option 1, any per annum payments you have made cannot be used as credits for Option 1 e-mails.
Why can't I put my phone number, e-mail or web addresses on my profile? The basis upon which Celebrante operates is that a) you only pay for the advertising that works and b) good advertising lets you to know if it's working. If the e-mail enquiries don't come to you via the Celebrante website, how will you know where the lead came from? Also, by listing your e-mail address on a publicly accessible website, you are giving access to those details to the hordes of "spammers" out there who look for advertised e-mails to spam to.
What's the "Founders Club"? The Founders Club is a select group of those celebrants who created their profile before April 30, 2006. Because they have had faith in what we're trying to do, we aim to ensure that that faith is rewarded down the line with additional benefits as we develop them. Founders Club membership is strictly limited to those who came on board by April 30, 2006.
Can we have more than one celebrant on the profile? The profiles are designed so that people can search for a celebrant for their special occassion. If there are more than one celebrant on a profile, then the potential customer is only going to get annoyed at having to search again through the profile, aren't they?
Why is it taking so long for my profile to appear? New profiles are checked daily to see if they've been fully completed including which choice of program you have selected and whether your text is suitable for the site.
